Rindge N.H (September 25, 2015) Women's Soccer hosted Southern Connecticut State University in a conference match-up at 7 p.m. Three quick goals by the Owls in the first half of play required the Ravens to play catch up. Anna Holtchlag (Rhede, Germany) and Nathalia Maria da Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil) goals not enough, and the Ravens fall to Southern Connecticut 3-2.

Moving forward the Ravens have a record of 4-2-0 overall and 2-2 in the NE-10. Southern Connecticut Owls overall 3-4 and 3-2 in the NE-10. Ravens keeper Katie Weldon (Manchester, N.H.) now 1-2-0, Owls keeper Erica Ridella 3-4-0.

Southern Connecticut wasted no time in todays match, scoring their first goal in the 15th minute by Caroline Staudle who seized her opportunity off a rebounded save by Weldon.

Ending the 17th minute in the first half the Owls were able to get another goal, using their corner kick to their advantage Staudle again was able to set up in front of the net and receive the ball from Victoria Buonanni to head it in past Weldon.

The Owls third goal came unassisted by Christine Allard from the six in the 21st minute, leaving the Ravens 69 minutes to answer three goals.

In the 35th minute a Ravens corner kick allowed for a goal scoring play, da Silva received the ball back from her corner kick where she crossed it to Holtchlag outside the right corner where she was able to burry the ball in the left corner for the Ravens first goal which would end the scoring for the first half.

As the second half got underway, a back and forth battle for posessions and shots for both teams. A foul by Southern Connecticut in the 74th minute, on da Silva lead to a Penalty Kick where she was able to bury the ball deep into the back of the net behind Ridella making it a one point game.

Unable to answer the last goal the Owls defeat the Ravens 3-2.
