Franklin Pierce University Women's soccer played a 5:30 p.m. match in their first conference game of the season at Pace University. In the 30th minute of play Hannah Weagle (Ipswitch, Mass.) was able to locate the rebounded ball by Pace keeper Aisha Chauhan and put the ball into the ball into the back of the net from the front. Weagle's first goal of the season and was the lone, game winning goal for the Ravens.
Today's game leaves the Ravens with a record of 3-0-0 and 1-0 in the NE-10, the Setters leave with a record of 2-2-0 and 0-1 in the NE-10. Ravens goalie Casey Cook (Beverly, Mass.) now with an overall record of 2-0-0 and a NE-10 record of 1-0, Setters keeper Aisha Chauhan now 2-2-0.
The first 30 minutes of play in it was a back and forth battle each team taking their share of shots on net. In the 30th minute the Ravens were able to put on three shots, Nicole Chaet's (Tewksbruy, Mass.) shot was saved by Chauhan but not held, Weagle saw the opportunity and seized it. The first goal in the game put the Ravens ahead in the first half.
