NE10 Women's Lacrosse Weekly Report (PDF)

RINDGE, N.H. (April 10, 2017) – Junior midfielder Caitlin Sweeney (Shirley, N.Y.) of the Franklin Pierce University women's lacrosse team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, for the week ending on April 9, as announced on Monday afternoon by the Conference office.

Sweeney went off for 13 goals and two assists with a game-winning goal in a 2-0 week for the Ravens. She also tallied six ground balls and 16 draw controls. On Tuesday at Merrimack, Sweeney scored six times and added two helpers with two ground balls and seven draw controls. On Saturday against SNHU, she poured in seven goals, including the game-winner, snagged four ground balls, picked up nine draw controls and caused a pair of turnovers.

On the season, Sweeney has started all nine games for the Ravens and leads the team in scoring with 50 points on 39 goals and 11 assists. She has tallied 21 ground balls and 44 draw controls, while attempting 74 shots (49 on goal). Sweeney has caused 11 turnovers, while committing 19, and has gone 12-for-21 on free-position shots.

The Ravens return to the field on Wednesday, April 12, when they travel to American International for an NE10 contest. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Abdow Field in Springfield, Mass.
