Bio

Kasi Petersen is in her second season as an assistant coach with the Franklin Pierce University women's ice hockey team in 2019-20.

Petersen begins her coaching career in Rindge after wrapping up a four-year playing career (bio) at Division III Chatham University, located in Pittsburgh. As a defenseman, she was the team's leading scorer (13-16-29) as a senior, which allowed her to lead the nation in points per game by a defenseman (1.26). The senior campaign earned Petersen her first career All-Conference selection, as she was named to the All-United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) First Team.

For her career, Petersen tallied 59 points (24-35-59) over 95 games for the Cougars, to graduate as the school's all-time leader in both points and assists. She was an ECAC All-Academic selection as a sophomore and a junior, and earned UCHC All-Academic accolades as a senior. Petersen missed just two games over her four years in the City of Bridges.

Petersen also played softball (bio) at Chatham, and was a four-time Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) All-Academic selection.

Originally from Faribault, Minnesota, Petersen is a 2018 graduate of Chatham University, with a degree in exercise science. She is pursuing her master's degree in sport management at Franklin Pierce.
