RINDGE, N.H. (March 30, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University women's ice hockey team has had nine student-athletes named to the New England Hockey Conference All-Academic Team, as announced earlier this week by the Conference office.

The NEHC All-Academic Team honors all student-athletes who carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher and have completed at least one full year at their current institution. In total, 147 student athletes from the 14 Conference institutions earned the accolade, led by 17 selections from Saint Michael's.

Earning NEHC All-Academic honors for the Ravens were: junior forward Alex Brolsma (Bloomington, Minn.), junior forward Hailee Craig (Canton, Mich.), senior forward Nina Danforth (Stratford, Conn.), junior forward Sara Diltz (Palmer, Alaska), senior defenseman Katie Flynn (Sandwich, Mass.), senior forward Michelle Holmes (Goffstown, N.H.), senior forward Marisa Ketterman (Palmer, Alaska), senior forward Lanie Matsumoto (Fort Collins, Colo.) and senior goaltender Shannon O'Neil (Tewksbury, Mass.).

The Ravens (18-7-2, 12-5-0 NEHC) finished tied for fifth in the NEHC this winter. Franklin Pierce claimed the third seed in the NEHC Open Tournament and ultimately finished fourth, falling in a shootout after playing to a 4-4 tie against Sacred Heart in the tournament's consolation contest.
