NEHC Women's Hockey Weekly Release

RINDGE, N.H. (February 6, 2017) – Senior forward Marisa Ketterman (Palmer, Alaska) of the Franklin Pierce University women's ice hockey team has been named New England Hockey Conference Player of the Week for the week ending on Feb. 5, as announced on Monday afternoon by the Conference office. In addition, senior goaltender Shannon O'Neil (Tewksbury, Mass.) has been selected as the league's Goaltender of the Week.

Ketterman tallied two points is each of the Ravens' two wins in a 2-0-0 week. On Friday afternoon at UMass Boston, she dished out a pair of assists, including a helper on the game-winning goal in the second period. On Saturday afternoon at Southern Maine, she bookended the scoring, putting home the first and last goals in Franklin Pierce's 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, O'Neil turned aside 47 of 49 shots on goal while playing every minute in net for the Ravens. On Friday, she made 27 saves against 29 shots to pick up the win at UMass Boston. On Saturday, O'Neil stopped all 20 shots she faced to post her 13th career shutout.

The Ravens return to the ice on Tuesday, Feb. 7, when they return home to host Post in a non-conference contest. Opening faceoff is set for 8 p.m. at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena in Winchendon, Mass.
