GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (September 10, 2018) The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team could not withstand a day two charge by Merrimack College as the Crimson and Grey placed second at the Saint Rose Fall Invitational Monday.

FPU shot a 320 (+32) Sunday and stood atop the team leaderboard. Northeast-10 Conference opponent Merrimack dropped off 19 strokes from their Sunday showing to leapfrog the Ravens into first place. Franklin Pierce completed the 36 holes with a 646 (+70) score.

All five women's golfers placed within the top-15 led by junior Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) who completed her rounds at 156 (+12), good enough for second place. Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) turned in a 163 (+19) scorecard and a seventh-place finish. Rosa Jones (Mastic, N.Y.) and freshman Christine Songcuan (Lancaster, Calif.) followed tied for eighth at 164 (+20). Junior Taylor Hartley (Battle Ground, Wash.) carded 166 (+22) to conclude the Raven scoring.

The Ravens head out on the road to Le Moyne and The Pompey Club this coming Sunday.
