Yamamoto, Hartley Highlight Franklin Pierce Golf All-Conference Selections

Franklin Pierce University women’s golfers Zoe Yamamoto (Battle Ground, Wash.) and Taylor Hartley (Battle Ground, Wash.) headlined eight selections to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference Teams the league office announced last week. Yamamoto and Hartley were named to the NE10 Women’s Golf First Team.

Songcuan Named Conference Top Rookie for Second Straight Week

Franklin Pierce University women’s golf freshman Christine Songcuan (Lancaster, Calif.) has been chosen as the Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Golf Rookie of the Week it was announced Wednesday afternoon by the conference offices. It is the second straight week and fourth time this season Songcuan has netted top rookie honors.

For the first time this season, the Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team has swept the Northeast-10 Conference weekly awards as senior Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) has been named the NE10 Women’s Golfer of the Week while freshman Christine Songcuan (Lancaster, Calif.) has snagged her third Rookie of the Week selection the league offices announced Wednesday afternoon.

The no. 2 regionally-ranked Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team and the women’s golf squad combined for seven top-10 finishes including individual medalist honors by junior Nathan Patterson (Conway, Mass.) and senior Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) as the Crimson and Grey collected two team titles at the two-day Assumption College Invitational hosted by the Blackstone National Saturday and Sunday.

Junior Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) led the Ravens with a 76 (+5), and is tied for second after the first of two rounds at the 5965-yard, par-71 Capital Hills at Albany.

PREVIEW: Women’s Golf In Search For Back-to-Back Conference Championships

Following their first ever appearance in the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf East Super Regional, the Franklin Pierce University women’s golf program started their 2018-19 campaign in September preparing for the 2018 Northeast-10 Conference Championship hosted by the College of Saint Rose at the Capital Hills Golf Club in Albany, N.Y. The league championship takes place this Sunday and Monday.
