PREVIEW: Women’s Golf Travels to Michigan for Regional Play

RINDGE, N.H. (May 4, 2018) For the first time in program history, the no. 12 regionally-ranked Franklin Pierce University women's golf team is about to appear in the 2018 NCAA Division II Tournament East Super Regional next Monday at the Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich.

Last season, as a junior, Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) became the first ever women's golfer selected to the regionals as an individual. Morrison placed second out of 66 golfers and advanced to the championship round. This year, the Ravens made program annals by becoming the first team selected to regional play.

SCOUTING THE RAVENS

This season, the Crimson and Grey won six tournaments including two other third-place finishes. Their crowning achievement came in the fall as they brought home their first Northeast-10 Conference Championship by totaling a two-round score of 618 (+42) narrowly defeating three-time champion Merrimack College (620, +44) by two strokes. With their league title, FPU earned the first ever-automatic bid to the Regionals from the conference.
