Ravens Roll to First Place Friday at Saint Rose

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (April 20, 2018) – After a first-place finish last weekend at Assumption, the Franklin Pierce University women's golf team continued their hot stretch of play as they stand atop the day one leaderboard at the Saint Rose Spring Classic Friday.

The Ravens shot a 320 (+36) on the par 71 Pinehaven Country Club course. Merrimack College, the second place program trails the Crimson and Grey by 20 strokes.

Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) leads all golfers after producing a 75 (+4) round one showing. Teammate Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) ranks second by rolling home a 78 (+7) scorecard. Reigning NE10 Golfer of the Week Taylor Schmidt (West Springfield, Mass.) rounds out the Ravens top-three golfers at 83 (+12).

Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) is tied for fourth place with Jessica Wagner from Merrimack at 84 (+13). Taylor Hartley (Battle Ground, Wash.) concluded the Raven scoring totaling an 88 (+17) score. Teammate Rosa Jones (Mastic, N.Y.) competed as an individual and finished the 18 holes at 93 (+22).

The Ravens head back to the links tomorrow for the final round of competition.
