Ravens, Morrison Bring Home First Place at Le Moyne Fall Invite

JAMESVILLE, N.Y. (September 18, 2017) The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team brought home their second team title this season as they shot a two-day total of 613 (+37) at the Le Moyne Fall Invitational which was hosted by Northeast-10 Conference opponent Le Moyne College.

The invitational took place at The Pompey Club, a Par 72 6,275 yard course in Jamesville, N.Y.

The Crimson and Grey shot a 306 (+18) through their first 18 holes yesterday and remained in the top spot on Monday as they combined to shoot a 307 (+19). The Ravens led Kutztown University by three strokes yesterday and bested the second place finisher by two strokes today. Gannon University remained in third at 637 (+61).

Senior team captain Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) won her first individual title this year as she posted a 145 (+1) two round total. Last season, Morrison took home six first place finishes. On Sunday, she recorded the lowest score of her collegiate career as she was four under at 68 (-4). Over the two days, Morrison tallied an eagle, 22 pars and led all players in par 5 scoring at 4.50, -5.

Teammate Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) picked up her third top-five finish this year as she finished fifth at 150 (+6). The sophomore golfer dropped two strokes from her day one score. Yamamoto ranked first in par 4 scoring at 4.06, +1 and second in total pars (24).

Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) and Taylor Hartley (Battle Ground, Wash.) took strokes off their round one scorecards. Daley jumped eight spots in the individual standings to 14th place at 159 (+15) as she bested her day one mark by five strokes. She led all players in total birdies with seven. Hartley remained in 15th place overall as she improved her day one 81 (+9) to a day two 79 (+7) to finish at 159 (+15).

Taylor Schmidt (West Springfield, Mass.) placed 37th with a 172 (+28) showing.

The Ravens hit the links on Sunday for the NE10 Championship at the Haverhill Country Club in Haverhill, Mass.
