Morrison Arrives Back in Ohio, Golfs at First Day of Nationals

FINDLAY, Ohio. (May 17, 2017) Franklin Pierce University women's junior golfer Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) traveled to Findlay, Ohio for the 2017 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships on Wednesday morning.

Morrison left campus on Monday before a practice round on Tuesday. The Championships began today and will conclude Saturday after every player's fourth and final round. To view some photos of the first round please click here.

Coming off a second place finish at the East Super Regionals last week in Canton, the team captain teed off at 8:35 a.m. this morning on the 10th hole. Morrison finished her afternoon on the par 72 6,066 yard course with an 83 (+11) scorecard which put her in a tie for 53rd place out of 72 golfers. She putted home eight pars to go along with one birdie during her first 18 of the week.

Morrison is 10 strokes behind the four co-leaders, Maria Regina Gonzalez of Saint Mary's (Tx.), Ann Parmerter of Dallas Baptist, Pilar Echeverria of the University of Indianapolis and Mary Weinstein of Regis (Colo.) who shot a 73 (+1).

Morrison will look to better her standing tomorrow when she tees off at the first hole at 10:20 a.m.
