Morrison Medals Again, Ravens Improve to Seventh at Trevecca Fall Invite

OLD HICKORY, Tenn. (October 25, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce women's golf team dropped 39 strokes off their day one score during the final day of competition at the Trevecca Fall Invitational which was played at the Old Hickory Country Club.

The Crimson and Grey improved their place in the standings by five spots, the team finished Monday in 12th place (347, +59) and then wrapped up the invitational in seventh place with the 39 stroke improvement (308, +20) for a total of 655 (+79).

The University of Indianapolis placed first (594, +18) and were followed by Findlay (597, +21) and Grand Valley State (607, +31) who finished second and third respectively.

Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) continued her impressive junior campaign with her third first place finish at 145 (+1). The team captain led all golfers in par five scoring (-6) and total birdies (10).

Taylor Schmidt (West Springfield, Mass.) placed 35th at 168 (+24) and improved her score by eight strokes. Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) was the most improved Raven golfer after taking off 15 strokes to finish at 173 (+29).

Reigning Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) was sick during the first day of play, but returned Tuesday and fired a 79 (+7). Rosa Jones (Mastic, N.Y.) shot a 90 (+18) on Monday.
