KEENE, N.H. (October 18, 2015) – Sophomores Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) and Anna Haynes (Hopedale, Mass.) each carded under 80 on Sunday afternoon despite playing through classic New England weather conditions, as they each helped the Franklin Pierce University Women's Golf team to a first place finish after the first day at the FPU Fall Invitational at Bretwood Golf Course.

Morrison did her part by carding a 78 (+7) on the day, putting her in second place on the individual board, while Haynes is right on her heels in third place shooting a 79 (+8). Franklin Pierce put the rest of their top five golfers in the top 10 on the board, with sophomore Taylor Schmidt (West Springfield, Mass.) shooting an 81 (+10) on the afternoon. Just behind her was freshman Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) who brought an 83 (+12) into the clubhouse. Rounding out Ravens action on the day was freshman Shannon Slater (Stafford Springs, Conn.) who hit a 93 (+22), putting her in ninth place on the board.

Other Franklin Pierce action as individuals came from sophomore Katy Lounsbery (Middletown, N.Y.) and Carly Bouchie (Rindge, N.H.).

Leading the individual board in front of Morrison and Haynes is Amber Thompson-Newton from Post University, who shot a 76 (+5), two strokes better than Morrison. On the team board, Southern New Hampshire sits 39 strokes back of Franklin Pierce in second, with Assumption in third.

The Ravens return to the links at Bretwood again tomorrow, October 19, with a start time of approximately 11 a.m. pending weather.
