Women’s Golf hold top spot after day one at LeMoyne Fall Shootout

BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. (October 3, 2015) – Sophomore Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) put together one of her best rounds of the season, carding a 77 en route to sitting first place on the leaderboard, including helping the Ravens to the top of the team chart with an overall score of 321 in the LeMoyne Fall Shootout at the Timber Banks Golf Club.

Fellow classmates Anna Haynes (Hopedale, Mass.) and Taylor Schmidt (West Springfield, Mass.) also put up phenominal scores for the day, each shooting 81 on the afternoon. Their score put them in a four-way tie for third place, with Amber Thompson-Newton of Post University shooting an 80 to slot into second place. Freshman Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) also finished in the top 10 with a score of 82, putting her in a tie for seventh place overall. Rounding out the Ravens action for the afternoon was freshman Shannon Slater (Stafford Springs, Conn.), who finished with a score of 100, putting her in a tie for 22nd place.

The Ravens will return to the links tomorrow at the Timber Banks Golf Club for the second and final round of the tournament.
