SANDS POINT, N.Y. (September 25, 2015) – Sophomores Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) and Anna Haynes (Hopedale, Mass.) each put up top ten scores, shooting in the 80's as the pair led the Franklin Pierce University Ravens Women's Golf team to a second place finish after day one at the Northeast-10 Championship at The Village Club of Sands Point.

Morrison shot an 82 (+9) on the day to finish in a tie for fourth, while Haynes finished one shot behind with her season-best score of 83 (+10). Fellow sophomore Taylor Schmidt (West Springfield, Mass.) put up the third-best score for the Ravens on the day, bringing in a card of 93 (+20), putting her in a tie for 15^th. Freshman Shannon Slater (Stafford Springs, Conn.) and Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) brought up the final two spots for the Ravens. Slater finished her day at a 97 (+24), while Daley came in the clubhouse at 108 (+35).

Overall in the tournament, Merrimack currently holds both the individual and team leads on the board. As a team, they hold a 36 shot lead over the Ravens, while LeMoyne and Southern New Hampshire follow in third and fourth. Merrimack's Alessandra Ricigliano and Krystal Knight currently stand 1-2 on the board, shooting 74 and 78 respectively.

The Ravens will play in the second and final round tomorrow, Saturday, September 26 at The Village Club of Sands Point.
