Women’s Bowling Notches 25th Spot in Recent National Rankings

RINDGE, N.H. (April 6, 2018) – For the first time since October, the Franklin Pierce University women's bowling program has been ranked nationally by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) in their April poll that was released Wednesday.

The Crimson and Grey checked in at the no. 25 spot in the rankings. Before the season, Franklin Pierce was selected 22nd by the NTCA in their preseason rankings.

The Ravens ended their 2017-18 season at 49-41 (.554) with a second place finish in the East Coast Conference Championship Tournament, the programs highest finish in history. Sophomore bowler Krysta Peirce (Casco, Mich.) was named to the 2018 ECC First Team while teammate Jessica Davies (Cape Coral, Fla.) was a Second Team choice and selected to the Championship All-Tournament Team.

FPU's team season may be over, but sophomore Jenna Harrington (Barneveld, N.Y.) will compete at the 2018 Intercollegiate Singles Championship on April 17-18th at the Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln, Nebraska.
