STRATFORD, N.J. (March 12, 2018) – Franklin Pierce University women's bowling sophomore Jenna Harrington (Barneveld, N.Y.) has advanced to the 2018 Intercollegiate Singles Championship after a sixth-place finish at the United States Bowling Congress ISC Sectionals Friday.

The 2018 ISC field will feature 24 men and 24 women competing for individual national titles April 17-18 at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln, Nebraska. Both the men's and women's finals will be taped April 21 for broadcast on CBS Sports Network and begin to air in late April.

At each of the four sectionals Friday, participants bowled six games, with the top four men and top four women guaranteed to advance. The eight additional men and eight additional women who advanced were determined based on the number of entries at each sectional.

Harrington knocked down a total of 1,242 pins at the 30 Strikes Bowling Center which was good for a 207 per game average. She totaled three frames over 200 with her high score coming in game three, a 241, which was the second highest string of the seven qualifiers.

"The ISC sectionals is not an easy tournament," said head coach Kim Buckley. "Jenna Stayed relaxed throughout all six games which helped bring out her true potential. I am so proud of how she bowled and I am confident she will continue to bowl well at nationals."
