Ravens Jump Two Spots to Second at Day Two in Kutztown

READING, Pa. (February 11, 2017) – The no. 20 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University women's bowling team competed in the second day of the Golden Bear Classic hosted by Kutztown University on Saturday afternoon.

Currently, the Ravens are in second place of 12 teams with a total pinfall of 8,919 pins. The Crimson and Grey jumped two spots in the standings from yesterday with a 4-1 showing on day two. East Coast Conference and no. 16 nationally-ranked Adelphi remains in the top spot (9-1, 9,462 pins) and stand alone at the top, followed by FPU in second and Morgan State in third (7-3, 8,774 pins).

The squad was 4-1 on the second day of competition wins over Duquesne (949-840), Kutztown (901-830), Caldwell (929-864) and Felician (958-830). The Ravens lone loss came at the hands of Morgan State in extra frames (856-856, 82-84).

The Ravens return to action tomorrow for the final day of competition.
