MILLSBORO, Del. (November 22, 2015) – The Franklin Pierce University Ravens Bowling team went out and finished 18th in the final day at the Hawk Classic, hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The third and final day of the tournament consisted of a bracket, where the matchups would be the best-of-seven Baker style matches.

Franklin Pierce came into the day as the 17th seeded team, facing the 18th seed in Morgan State. The Ravens previously beat them on Saturday, but Sunday's results would be a little different. The Ravens lost the first game putting them in an early hole, but were able to fight back as their matchup would go the distance of all seven games.

With a 3-2 lead after a game of 200 in game five, the Ravens had a chance to win. Morgan State would then put up a game of 200 of their own to win game six and force a seventh game. But that seventh and final game didn't fall in favor of the Ravens, giving them the 4-3 loss.

After the tough loss, the Ravens didn't lose focus and were able to go right into the win column with a four-game sweep of New Jersey City, 4-0. Two rounds above 190 with 191 and 193, coming in the third and fourth games, and leading off the match with a score of 202 pushed the Ravens to the win.

The third and final match of the day pitted the Ravens against Sacred Heart University. However, the Ravens didn't catch the lanes quite right in the match, dropping four straight games in leading to a Sacred Heart sweep.

The Ravens return to action on January 22-24 when they travel to Reading, Pa. to compete in the KU Invitational hosted by Kutztown University.
