Bowling Sees Five Compete at Junior Gold Championships

INDIANAPOLIS (July 28, 2016) – Earlier this month, five members of the Franklin Pierce University bowling team traveled to Indianapolis to compete for a spot on Junior Team USA at the Junior Gold Championships.

RINDGE, N.H. (July 14, 2016) -- Six members of the Franklin Pierce University women’s bowling team have been named to the 2015-2016 National Tenpin Coaches Association All- Academic Team, as announced earlier this summer by the NTCA.
Bowling Finishes Fourth at Inaugural ECC Championship

(March 26, 2016) -- The Franklin Pierce University bowling team took home fourth place overall at the Eastern Coast Conference Championship on Saturday, after an 0-2 day in best-of-seven baker play. At the conclusion of play at Hiester Lanes, sophomore Jessica Davies (Cape Coral, Fla.) was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
Bowling has Three Named All-East Coast Conference

(March 25, 2016) -- The Franklin Pierce University bowling team has had three players earn All-Conference selections, as announced Friday afternoon by the East Coast Conference at the inaugural ECC Bowling Championship. Sophomore Jessica Davies (Cape Coral, Fla.) was named All-ECC first team, while sophomores Colleen Kelly (Quincy, Mass) and Nikki Vucak (Garfield, NJ) earned All-ECC Second Team honors.
Bowling Holds Second Place after First Day of East Coast Conference Championship

READING, Pa. (March 25, 2016) -- The Franklin Pierce University bowling team competed in the inaugural Eastern Coast Conference Championship on Friday at Hiester Lanes. After finishing the first day with a record of 4-1 in round robin play, the Ravens hold second place overall.

(March 23, 2016) – Junior third baseman Jay Jabs (Schwenksville, Pa.) of the Franklin Pierce University baseball team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, as announced on Monday by the Conference office. He led four Ravens who earned weekly honors from their conference, as sophomore Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) of the women’s golf team was named Northeast-10 Women’s Golfer of the Week, freshman Andrew Schadt (Tolland, Conn.) of the men’s tennis team was named Northeast-10 Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Week and sophomore Colleen Kelly (Quincy, Mass.) of the bowling team was named East Coast Conference Bowler of the Week. In addition, four other Ravens landed on their sport’s respective Weekly Honor Roll.
Bowling Finishes 17th at Music City Classic

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 20, 2016) -- The Franklin Pierce University bowling team finished 17th out of 30 teams, as it finished the final day at the Music City Classic, hosted by Vanderbilt, by sweeping its final three matches, which were played in a best-of-seven Baker format.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 19, 2016) -- The Franklin Pierce University bowling team defeated No. 5 nationally ranked Stephen F. Austin on Saturday, while sophomore Colleen Kelly (Quincy, Mass.) led the team with an average of 195 pins per game in the traditional style format at the second day of the Music City Classic, hosted by Vanderbilt.

(March 18, 2016) -- The Franklin Pierce University bowling team took wins against No. 8 nationally ranked North Carolina AT&T and No. 16 Sacred Heart University, and went .500 on the day on Friday. It was sophomore Colleen Kelly (Quincy, Mass.) leading the team with a 192.5 average pinfall on the first day at the Music City Classic, hosted by Vanderbilt.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (February 28, 2016) -- The Franklin Pierce University bowling team finished eighth overall at the Hawk Flight Invitational, hosted by Monmouth University at Carolier Lanes. Playing in both the traditional style and in best-of-seven Baker matches, the Ravens went 0-3 on the final day of the tournament.

(February 27, 2016) -- The Franklin Pierce University bowling team played three nationally-ranked teams on Saturday, in the second day at the Hawk Flight Invitational, hosted by Monmouth University at Carolier Lanes. In the traditional-style format, the Ravens succumbed to three teams, but took home the win in their last match against Caldwell to finish 1-3 on the day.

It was part of a 2-3 overall day for the Ravens in their first day at the Hawk Flight Invitational, hosted by Monmouth University at Carolier Lanes.

(February 14, 2016) -- In the final day of the Golden Bear Classic, sophomore Jessica Davies (Cape Coral, Fla.) of the Franklin Pierce University bowling team was awarded All-Tournament Team honors. The final day featured best-of-seven Baker matches, in which the Ravens went 1-2 to finish seventh at the event, hosted by Kutztown University at Bowl-o-Rama.
