RINDGE, N.H. (September 15, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University women's basketball program and head coach Jeanette Wedo are proud to announce their involvement in the JDRF One Walk on Saturday, September 30, 2017.

The JDRF One Walk is a fun, family-friendly event where dedicated walkers, volunteers and sponsors raise money to make living with T1D safer and healthier—until it is no longer a threat. JDRF's mission is to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.

The team will participate in the walk in Boston on the 30th at the DCR Hatch Shell on the banks of the Charles River. The Ravens decided to walk at the event after players on their squad who thought it was an important issue this year, completely orchestrated and organized their involvement.

Franklin Pierce basketball is asking people to go to their team sponsor page for the walk where people can personally donate money to "sponsor" a player or the team as they walk for a cure.
