Following a 30 second Raven stoppage, the Crimson and Grey tallied six straight markers as Campbell banked in a three and a Middleton defensive board led to a trailer pass to Jemma Thacker (Nairne, South Australia) on the left wing for another three-ball which cut the deficit to three, 14-11 with 3:19 left. One point was only scored in the remaining 3:19 as Abby McKanna split a pair of freebies to make it 15-11 at the conclusion of one.

The Ravens used another 30 second timeout and after the timeout, Campbell muscled the ball into the hoop while getting fouled. She missed the free throw however as the Ravens brought the Greyhound lead down to three at 22-19 at the 4:14 mark.

Six consecutive charity stripe conversions ensued until Thacker banked in a jumper from the right block which once again brought the margin to three. O'Brien and Carey continued the 17-2 run as they swished a three and two free throws which moved the lead to a game-high 18 points.

With the lead at 18, the Ravens started to claw back with 10 points in a row off to end the quarter as a Campbell three point connection, a Mayo and1, and a Campbell jumper from the right elbow which forced the hosts into a 30 second timeout. After the timeout, Wilson came up with a steal of Kiera O'Donnell which led to a Campbell driving two to make the score 43-35 in favor of Assumption. As the buzzer sounded, Stoddard was fouled while attempting a three and made all three free throws to move the lead back to double figures at 46-35 at the end of three.
