Bio
Shawn DeCost enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Franklin Pierce University sprint football team in 2017. He is responsible for coaching the team's running backs.
DeCost (bio) was a member of the first-ever graduating class for the Ravens' sprint football program, which began play in 2012.
A four-year member of the Ravens, DeCost played in all 26 games from the program's inception through his senior season, and contributed on both sides of the ball, seeing time as both a wide receiver and a defensive back, not to mention significant time as a kick returner. As a senior, he filled out his stat line with eight catches for 73 yards and a touchdown; five tackles (two solo) and a fumble recovery; 10 kick returns for 187 yards; and seven punts averaging 28.9 yards, including a pair of kicks which landed inside the 20.
Originally from Nashua, N.H., DeCost is a 2016 graduate of Franklin Pierce.
