Softball’s Wiley earns spot on Northeast-10 Conference First Team

RINDGE, N.H. (April 29, 2015) – Softball’s Jamie Wiley (Cape Vincent, N.Y.) will end her career at Franklin Pierce with a bang, as she earns herself a spot on the Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Wiley certainly grabbed the well-deserved spot mostly with her offense, as she ranked among the tops of the league in batting average, on-base percentage, and total bases. She brought home a .415 batting average, and a .473 on-base percentage, each ranking fifth in the conference. Her 42 total bases in conference games also ranks eighth as well. She also had the most hits out of anyone in conference games with 31, with six doubles, a triple, one home run, and 10 RBI. She only struck out seven times all season.

Wiley will end her career at Franklin Pierce having played in 114 games, with an impressive .314 batting average, with 22 doubles, two triples, and four home runs. She drove in 48 RBI, and scored 54 runs with over 10 stolen bases. She also served as a team captain and two years of service on the women’s ice hockey team, and was also awarded the inaugural Women in Sports Award in April of 2013.
