RINDGE, N.H. (April 23, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce University softball team was limited to just a pair of hits Wednesday, as its seven-game win streak was snapped in a 5-0 setback to Assumption at the Melissa Bisaccia Memorial Softball Complex in Rindge, N.H.

The Ravens fell to 11-18 overall, 9-12 in the Northeast-10, and 7-10 in the Northeast Division, while Assumption improved to 16-17, 10-10 in the NE-10, and 9-9 in the division.

Lattal improved to 6-5 with three strikeouts, one walk, and just those two hits. Tricia Hansen (Mansfield, Mass.) had the other hit for Franklin Pierce in the third inning.

Assumption scored twice in the third, and tacked on a run in both the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. Kayli Moniz' RBI’double highlighted the third inning, while Andrea Crowley added an RBI double as well in the seventh, which scored Moniz on the play. Assumption pounded out 11 hits in the game.
