The trio included softball senior Jamie Verner (Natick, Mass.), men's lacrosse junior Ben McDannell (Morrisville, Pa.) and baseball junior Ryan Thompson (Calgary, Alberta).

(April 21, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University softball team concluded its 2012 season on Saturday as the Ravens were swept by Le Moyne in a doubleheader at the FPU Softball Field in Rindge. The Dolphins took game one, 10-3, and then capped the afternoon with an 8-1 triumph in game two. Franklin Pierce concluded its season with a 9-30 overall record and a 7-23 mark in the Northeast-10, while Le Moyne improved to 26-24 and 20-10 in league play.

The Hawks took game one, 3-0, and then exploded for a 12-3 triumph in only five innings in game two at the FPU Softball Field in Rindge. Franklin Pierce dipped to 9-20 overall and 7-13 in the Northeast-10, while Saint Anselm improved to 14-18 and 8-8 in league play.

The Yellow Jackets rallied for a 4-1 win in game one and scored six times in the first inning of game two and never looked back in earning a 9-6 decision. Franklin Pierce dropped its sixth and seventh games in a row in falling to 9-18 overall and 7-11 in the Northeast-10, while AIC improved to 10-18 and 6-12 in league play.

(April 4, 2012) – Junior catcher Jessica Furtado (Taunton, Mass.) hit a solo home run in the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon, but the Franklin Pierce University softball team was defeated, 6-1, by Assumption in Northeast-10 Conference play at FPU Softball Field. In the second game, junior left fielder Melissa Jalbert hit three home runs, including a grand slam, to drive home seven runs and lead Assumption to a 13-5, six-inning victory.

Franklin Pierce moved to 8-9 overall and 6-2 in the Northeast-10, while Merrimack moved to 8-8 and 2-2 in league play.
