PREVIEW: Rowing Prepares For Battle At Assumption

RINDGE, N.H. (April 13, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University rowing program heads back out on the water tomorrow for the Assumption College Invitational on Lake Quinsigamond following a successful trip to Georgia training at the Lake Lanier Olympic Center.

The Ravens, who earned two votes in the most recent Division II Rowing Poll for the first time in program history look to continue their strong spring start.

 

Race Times

Varsity 8+…8:40 a.m.

Varsity 4+…9:20 a.m.

Novice 4+…9:30 a.m.

 

Boat Lineups

Varsity 8+: junior Shelby Telega (South Deerfield, Mass.), freshman Katrina Wilson (Rindge, N.H.), junior Hannah Eldridge (Whitinsville, Mass.), senior Jenna Chiavelli (Methuen, Mass.), junior Kaitlin Morin (Raymond, N.H.), junior Holly Hay (Miller Place, N.Y.), freshman Nicole McIntosh (North Pole, Alaska), sophomore Sophia Alexandrou (Windham, N.H.) and senior Grace Walker (Greenfield, Mass.)

Varsity 4+: Telega, Alexandrou, Chiavelli, Hay, and Eldridge

JV 4+: McIntosh, Wilson, freshman Emalee Frady (Anaheim, Calif.), junior Kellie Crandall (North Stonington, Conn.) and Walker (This boat will be competing as a Novice 4+ in the JV event)

 

Coach Caruthers says

“Despite not being back on Pearly Pond yet, we have been working very hard on land and in the tanks. We are feeling confident with where we are at, and looking forward to putting it all together on the water this weekend. We are excited to see where our potential is at.”
