CRCA National Scholar-Athlete selections

RINDGE, N.H. (June 7, 2018) – Juniors Holly Hay (Miller Place, N.Y.) and Kaitlin Morin (Raymond, N.H.) of the Franklin Pierce University rowing team have been named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar-Athletes, as announced earlier this week by the CRCA.

The CRCA National Scholar-Athlete award is presented to all NCAA rowers who post a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, or higher, through the fall semester of the current competition year, while also meeting the following criteria.

The award is not open to freshman student-athletes, but all those in their second, third and fourth seasons of athletic eligibility may be honored. In addition to the GPA requirement, student-athletes must compete in 75% of their team’s competitions to earn National Scholar-Athlete accolades.

It is the first career CRCA National Scholar-Athlete award for both Hay and Morin.
