RINDGE, N.H. (October 17, 2017) -- The Franklin Pierce University cross country and track & field program led the charge in a pair of community engagement events over the weekend, lending their time and support to both a local Color Run and a Breast Cancer Walk.

The squad was not the only Ravens team to head to Rindge Elementary School for The Color Run on Saturday to help setup and assist with the organization and execution of the event. Members of the Ravens field hockey and women's lacrosse teams, among others joined in as well. Billed as "The Happiest 5K on the Planet", The Color Run (more info) is a worldwide initiative, with the stated mission being to "bring people together and make the world a happier, healthier place."

On Sunday, Ravens cross country and track & field headed to Concord, N.H., where they participated in a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event (more info). The Ravens walked in honor of Michelle Bryan, the late aunt of junior distance runner Anthony Barinelli. In conjunction with the event, the team raised more than $1200 to continue the fight against breast cancer.

A small collection of photos from the two events are available at the link above.
