RINDGE, N.H. (May 25, 2017) – Senior Jon Holmes (Albany, N.Y.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country and track & field team has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District I First Team, as announced on Thursday by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). As a result of the selection, Holmes will advance to the Academic All-America ballot.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 15, 2017) – Junior Martin Gradijan (Lebanon, N.H.), senior Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) and senior B.J. Smith (Concord, N.H.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team, as well as freshmen Julia Cormier (Northwood, N.H.) and Rebecca Zylak (Goffstown, N.H.) of the women’s team, have all earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors, as announced late last week by the USTFCCCA. In addition, both the men’s and women’s cross country programs have been honored at the team level by the USTFCCCA All-Academic program.

SAINT LEO, Fla. (November 19, 2016) – Freshman Aidan Gilbride (East Kilbride, Scotland) and senior Dage Minors (Hamilton Paris, Bermuda) of the Franklin Pierce University cross country team placed 140th and 195th, respectively, out of 242 runners on Saturday morning at the NCAA National Championship, hosted by Saint Leo University. It marked the second time in four years the Ravens had multiple student-athletes compete in the national title race, and the third time in four years they were represented at the meet.

HOPKINTON, N.H. (November 5, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce University men's cross country team saw two individuals advance to the national level on Saturday, as senior Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) and freshman Aidan Gilbride (East Kilbride, Scotland) each earned All-Region honors, by placing fourth and fifth, respectively, at the NCAA Championship East Regional. As a team, the Ravens, who hosted the event at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds for the third straight year placed fourth, also for the third straight year. The top three teams, plus the top three individuals not on a qualifying team, all qualify for the National Championship race.

EASTON, Mass. (October 22, 2016) – Freshman Aidan Gilbride (East Kilbride, Scotland) was the first freshman across the line on Saturday morning, earning Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Year honors for the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team at the Northeast-10 Championship, hosted by Stonehill. Gilbride was one of three Ravens to earn All-Northeast-10 honors on the day, helping the team to a fourth-place finish (of 15 schools).

(October 20, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team has been picked to finish sixth in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Championship, while the women have been selected 12th, as announced on Thursday afternoon, with the release of the Northeast-10 Pre-Championship Coaches’ Poll by the Conference office.

BOSTON (October 8, 2016) – After taking last weekend off, the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team was less than impressive on Saturday afternoon, as the Ravens placed just one runner in the top-100 of a 221-athlete field at the NEICAAA Championships at Franklin Park. Senior B.J. Smith (Concord, N.H.) led the way for the Ravens in 53rd place, as the team would finish 21st out of 34 teams from across New England representing all three NCAA divisions. Among Division II teams, the Ravens were fourth, trailing fellow Northeast-10 Conference members American International, Stonehill and Bentley.

(September 24, 2016) – Senior Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) finished second, just four seconds off the pace, to lead the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team on Saturday at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College. Minors was joined in the top-five by senior B.J. Smith (Concord, N.H.) in fourth, as the duo led the Ravens to a fourth-place finish, out of 22 teams.

The meet was held at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds, which will also serve as host of the NCAA East Regional for the second straight year in November.

(September 10, 2016) – Freshman Tyler Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.) posted his first collegiate top-10 finish on Saturday morning, as he led five members of the Franklin Pierce University cross country team to finish in the top 25 of an 87-runner field. It all added up to a fourth-place finish (out of eight teams) for the Ravens at the Smith College Cross Country Invitational.

EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 2, 2016) – Senior Jon Holmes (Albany, N.Y.) opened his final collegiate season with a top-10 finish on Friday afternoon, as he placed ninth at the Mount St. Mary’s 5K Duals for the Franklin Pierce University cross country team. At the season-opening meet, the Ravens posted a win over host Mount St. Mary’s, but were defeated by American and Maryland, Baltimore County.
