RINDGE, N.H. (December 11, 2018) – A successful weekend at the Elm City Challenge led to a bounty on Tuesday afternoon for the Franklin Pierce University track & field program, as four Ravens hauled in Northeast-10 Conference weekly awards. On the men’s side, sophomore Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) was named Track Athlete of the Week, while freshman Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) took home Track Rookie of the Week honors. For the women, senior CeCe Telfer (Lebanon, N.H.) was selected as Track Athlete of the Week, while freshman Paola Brena (Queretaro, Mexico) was lauded as Field Rookie of the Week.

Arlabosse posted three wins over the weekend at the Elm City Challenge, hosted by Southern Connecticut State. He hit the NCAA provisional mark in the 800 meters (1:53.16) and also set a school record while hitting the NEICAAA qualifying mark in the 600 meters (1:20.57). Arlabosse later added another win in the 3000 meters (9:12.72). It is his first career weekly track & field award from the NE10.

Fenoff won the mile over the weekend at SCSU, with a time of 4:43.91. It is his first career weekly track & field award from the NE10 as well.

Telfer hit NCAA provisional marks in both the 55-meter dash (7.02) and the pentathlon (3714) while winning both events over the weekend in the Nutmeg State. She also hit the NCAA provisional mark in the 55-meter hurdles, as part of the pentathlon. It is the first NE10 weekly award of her career.

Brena hit the NCAA provisional mark in the high jump, by clearing 1.67 meters to win the event over the weekend. She also hit the NCAA provisional mark in the high jump again, as part of the pentathlon competition, in which she finished third with 2471 points. It is Brena’s second straight selection as NE10 Field Rookie of the Week.

The Ravens return to action on Sunday, Jan. 6, when they send select athletes to the Dartmouth Relays in Hanover, New Hampshire.
