USTFCCCA All-Region selections

RINDGE, N.H. (May 16, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University track & field program has collected 14 All-East Region selections from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the indoor season, as announced on Monday by the USTFCCCA.

The USTFCCCA bestows All-Region honors on those who post the five best performances in each region in an event, as well as to all members of a relay team which is ranked in the top three in the region. Franklin Pierce had five men combine for 10 All-Region selections, well three members of the women’s team collected a total of four All-Region selections.

Graduate student Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) led the way with three All-Region selections. Individually, he earned the accolade in the 800 meters (1:48.99) and the 1500 meters (3:52.22). In addition, he was a part of Franklin Pierce’s All-Region 4x400-meter relay team (3:15.63), alongside freshman Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France), sophomore Trevor Guay (Londonderry, N.H.) and senior Nicholas Jacques (Westfield, Mass.).

Arlabosse and Guay were both multiple-time All-Region selections as well, as was sophomore Jeff Reddy (Chester, N.H.). Arlabosse was honored individually in the 800 meters (1:50.00), while Guay added an individual All-Region accolade in the 400-meter hurdles (54.07). Reddy chalked up All-Region honors in both the 5000 meters (15:05.80) and the 10,000 meters (31:02.59).

Reddy finished as the East Region’s top performer in the 10,000 meters, while Minors did the same in the 800 meters.

For the women, graduate student Nicole Galewski (Whitman, Mass.) capped her career with a pair of All-Region selections. She was honored in the 100-meter hurdles (14.59) and the heptathlon (4571 points).

Seniors Miranda Gagnon (Rollinsford, N.H.) and Emily Quinn (West Bridgewater, Mass.) rounded out Franklin Pierce’s All-Region selections. Gagnon was honored in the javelin (40.18m), while Quinn earned the accolade in the hammer throw (52.79m).

Arlabosse and Minors will wrap up the season for Ravens track & field at the NCAA Championships, set for May 24-26 in Charlotte, N.C.
