Men’s Track & Field’s Minors, Arlabosse Selected to NCAA Championships

NCAA Track & Field Championships selection information

RINDGE, N.H. (May 15, 2018) – Graduate student Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) and freshman Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) will represent the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field program at the NCAA Championships, as announced Tuesday afternoon by the NCAA.

The NCAA Championships will be hosted by Johnson C. Smith University on May 24-26 at the Irwin Belk Complex in Charlotte, N.C. The top 20 competitors in each individual event are selected to compete.

Both Minors and Arlabosse will compete in the 800 meters, which will feature preliminary heats on May 25 at 6:05 p.m., followed by the final on May 26 at 5:05 p.m.

Minors posted his best 800-meter time of the year on March 29, at the Florida Relays, where he stopped the clock at 1:48.99. The time currently ranks sixth in the nation, first in the East Region and first in the Northeast-10 Conference. It is Minors’ seventh career NCAA Championship selection.

Meanwhile, Arlabosse qualified for the national meet on the strength of his 800-meter time of 1:50.00, which he posted at the NEICAAA Championships just last weekend. The time is tied for 12th-fastest in the country and also ranks third in the East Region and the NE10. It is Arlabosse’s first career NCAA Championship selection.
