Minors, Arlabosse in Action on Opposite Coasts for Men’s Track & Field
RINDGE, N.H. (April 20, 2018) – It was coast-to-coast action, or at least action on both coasts, on Friday afternoon for the Franklin Pierce University men's track & field team, which had a pair of student-athletes in action at high-caliber meets. Out west, graduate student Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) ran in the 800 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays in Torrance, Calif. Back east, freshman Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) ran an 800-meter race of his own, at the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, N.J.
On the campus of El Camino College, Minors took to the track in the first of three 800-meter heats at the Mt. SAC Relays. He laid down a 1:50.79 to finish third in the heat, which was good for fifth overall in the 40-runner field. Three of the four to finish in front of Minors were Division I student-athletes -- including a pair from Power Five-conference institutions -- in a meet laden with premier Division I talent.
On the campus of Princeton University, Arlabosse partook in the fifth of eight meets in the 800 meters at the Larry Ellis Invitational. He turned in a time of 1:53.73 to win his heat, which was good for a 32nd-place finish overall in the 62-runner field.
The full team is back in action for the Ravens on Saturday, April 21, when they travel to the University at Albany for the Spring Classic in Albany, N.Y.
