Track & Field Participates in Final Day of NEICAAA Championships

BOSTON (February 3, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University track & field team wrapped up its weekend on Saturday, on the second and final day of the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Northeastern at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.

The men's team had three individuals and a relay team in action on Saturday in Boston. Individually, it was a 21st-place finish for senior Rindal Pierre-Canel (Randolph, Mass.) in the triple jump (11.78m), a 24th-place showing for junior Jaris Neville (Atlanta, Ga.) in the 60-meter dash (7.20), and a 26th-place run for sophomore Jason Reed (Foxborough, Mass.) in the 3000 meters (9:08.32).

Meanwhile, the 4x800-meter relay squad finished 10th. The quartet of senior Joshua Ercolini (Woburn, Mass.), sophomore Tyler Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.), senior Martin Gradijan (Lebanon, N.H.) and sophomore Trevor Guay (Londonderry, N.H.) turned in a time of 8:00.92.

On the women's side of the things, the Ravens had three individuals in action on Saturday as well. Sophomore Katey Comstock (Windsor, Vt.) finished 15th in the shot put (12.29m), graduate student Nicole Galewski (Whitman, Mass.) took 24th in the 60-meter hurdles (9.43), and freshman Alyssa Harris (Billerica, Mass.) placed 26th in the 60-meter dash (8.23).

The Ravens return to action on Feb. 9-10, when they head back to Boston yet again, for the David Hemery Invite, hosted by Boston University.
