Men’s Track & Field Preps for Championship Season at Terrier Classic

BOSTON (January 27, 2018) – In its final tune-up before championship season begins in earnest next weekend, the Franklin Pierce University men's track & field team was in action on Saturday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University.

A trio of Ravens turned in notable times on the day in Beantown. Leading the way was sophomore Trevor Guay (Londonderry, N.H.), who put together a run of 49.93 seconds in the 400 meters, to finish 27th. The time is currently good enough to rank eighth in the Northeast-10 Conference.

At double the distance, it was a 54th-place finish for sophomore Tyler Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.), who turned in a time of 1:56.57 in the 800 meters. The mark currently puts Hayes 11th in the NE10.

Elsewhere, it was a run of 9.03 seconds for senior Daniel Warner (Windham, N.H.) in the 60-meter hurdles. The time was good enough to crack the top 25, as Warner finished 25th in the event.

The Ravens return to action on Feb. 2-3, when they return to Boston for the NEICAAA Championships.
