Men’s Track & Field Wraps Up Weekend at GBTC Invitational

BOSTON (January 21, 2018) – A day after winning the Panther Invitational at Plymouth State, the Franklin Pierce University men's track & field team was back in action on Sunday at the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational, held at Harvard's Gordon Track.

The Ravens posted a quintet of top-five finishes on Sunday in Beantown. Senior Peter Murray (Tewksbury, Mass.) led the way with third-place finishes in both the shot put (12.92m) and the weight throw (13.42m). His weight throw mark currently ranks 11th in the Northeast-10 Conference.

One other top-five came in field events as well for Franklin Pierce. Junior Robert Boardman (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) placed fourth in the high jump, by clearing 1.85 meters.

The crimson and grey also picked up a pair of top-five finishes in events out on the track. Sophomore Trevor Guay (Londonderry, N.H.) finished third in the 400 meters (51.14), while senior Daniel Warner (Windham, N.H.) placed fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.12).

The Ravens return to action on Saturday, Jan. 27, when they return to Boston for the John Thomas Invite, hosted by Boston University.
