Men’s Track & Field’s Minors Collects All-America Honors in 800m at NCAA Championships

BRADENTON, Fla. (May 27, 2017) – For the fifth time in his collegiate career, senior Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) of the Franklin Pierce University men's track & field team is an All-American. Minors capped his season on Saturday night by finishing eighth, out of eight finalists, in the 800 meters at the NCAA Championships, hosted by University of Tampa and IMG Academy.

After qualifying with the fifth-fastest time in Friday's preliminaries, Minors took to the track on Saturday near the outside, as he lined up in lane seven. He turned in a time of 1:52.48 for his eighth-place finish, which is good enough for yet another All-America selection. The performance rounded out the 2016-17 season for Ravens track & field.

Decano Cronin, a junior from Fort Hays State, claimed the 800-meter national title, with a time of 1:49.75.
