Gisore Steeplechase Highlights Day for Men’s Track & Field at Brown Springtime Invitational
Ravens take two of top five spots in steeplechase

Gisore is now fourth in the Northeast-10 in the steeplechase after his run on Saturday at Brown.PROVIDENCE, R.I. (April 13, 2013) – Junior Antoine Gisore (Concord, N.H.) ran the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 9:54.64 on Saturday, finishing third in the event, to lead the way for the Franklin Pierce University men's track and field team at the Springtime Invitational, hosted by Brown University at Brown Stadium.
Gisore's time slots him into fourth in the event in the Northeast-10 Conference so far on the campaign. He had Raven company in the top-five of the event, in the form of freshman Colton Ham (Webster, N.H.). Though Ham's time of 10:07.88 was nearly 10 seconds off his time from last week's George Davis Invitational, he finished fifth in the event at Brown. Gisore's run knocked Ham's time from last week down to sixth in the Northeast-10.
Elsewhere, freshman Mike Abrams (Newark, N.J.) posted top-three finishes in both the 200- and 400-meter dashes. In the 400 meters, he placed second, with a time (49.48) which moves him into the top-10 -- at 10th -- in the Northeast-10. He finished third in the 200 meters, with a time of 22.23.
The Ravens are back on the track on Saturday, April 20, at the MIT Spring Invitational in Cambridge, Mass.
