TEMPE, Ariz. (May 15, 2019) – Senior Marcus Lawrence (Acton, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team has been named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s East Region recipient of the Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award, as announced on Wednesday by the ITA.

Men’s Tennis Collects Quartet of All-NE10 Honors

RINDGE, N.H. (April 30, 2019) – An All-Northeast-10 Conference Second Team selection for sophomore Roberto Chong (Puigpunyent, Spain) highlighted four All-Conference selections for the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the Conference office. The Ravens also collected three All-NE10 Third Team accolades, as freshman Preston Gordon (Essex Junction, Vt.), junior Yuval Barak (Zicron Ya’akov, Israel) and the doubles team of seniors James Bisazza (West Barnstable, Mass.) and Andrew Schadt (Tolland, Conn.) were all honored. In addition, Gordon and sophomore Nkrumah Patrick (Tunapuna, Trinidad and Tobago) were both named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team.

Men’s Tennis Falls at Le Moyne in NE10 Championship First Round, 4-1

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (April 30, 2019) – The fifth-seeded Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team was defeated in the first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship on Tuesday afternoon at fourth-seeded Le Moyne, 4-1. The match was held at Skytop Tennis Courts, on the campus of Syracuse University.

RINDGE, N.H. (April 29, 2018) – For the second season in a row, the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team is postseason bound. The fifth-seeded Ravens will open play in the Northeast-10 Championship on Tuesday, April 30, when they travel to fourth-seeded Le Moyne for a first round contest at 2 p.m. in Syracuse, N.Y. The match will be held at Skytop Tennis Courts on the campus of Syracuse University.

(April 27, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team wrapped up the Northeast-10 Conference regular season in style on Saturday afternoon, as the Ravens picked up a 6-1 win over Merrimack, which was ranked fourth in this week’s NCAA East Region rankings. Due to wet weather in the area, the match was contested at Hampshire Hills Athletic Club.

The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team hosted their first home Northeast-10 Conference contest of the season and were bettered 7-0 by interstate rival Southern New Hampshire University. The loss sends the Ravens to 8-6 on the year and 3-2 in league play while the Penmen move to 9-3 overall and remain unblemished, 5-0 in conference play.

The host Dolphins dealt the Ravens a 7-0 defeat in the Northeast-10 Conference match.

RINDGE, N.H. (March 30, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team took the second-ranked team in the East Region to the limit in a marathon affair on Saturday afternoon, but Queens (N.Y.) was ultimately able to prevail, 4-3, in the non-conference match at Franklin Pierce.

(March 21, 2019) – As the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team wraps up a spring break trip to Florida on Thursday, the Ravens are left with just a handful of non-conference tune-ups remaining before returning to Northeast-10 Conference play once the calendar turns to April. Already out to a 3-0 start in league play, when the team returns to NE10 matches, they will do so after being picked to finish in a tie for fourth in the Conference, as announced earlier this winter by the NE10.
