Bio

Edis Miftari enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team in 2019.

As an undergraduate, Miftari spent two years at Iowa Central Community College, competing in Division I of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) from 2014-2016. In his time at Iowa Central, Miftari helped lead the team to a ranking as high as sixth in the nation and was a Second Team All-Conference selection.

Following his time at Iowa Central, Miftari transferred to Alderson Broaddus University, an NCAA Division II program in Philippi, W. Va. During his time in Philippi, Miftari helped lead the team to its first conference title in eight years during the 2016-17 season.

Miftari’s coaching experience began when he was a part of the coaching staff at the Texas A&M Soccer Camp in College Station, Texas, which is regarded among the best camps in the country. Camp sessions were engineered to fulfill the needs of soccer campers ranging from beginners to highly-competiive players.

Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Miftari is a 2018 graduate of Alderson Broaddus University, with a degree in sport management.
