COLCHESTER, Vt. (October 9, 2018) – Franklin Pierce University men's soccer sophomore forward Yannik Felber (Vallendar, Germany) scored two goals while freshman midfielder Betim Balidemaj (Derby, Conn.) tallied a goal and an assist as the Ravens were victorious in their fourth consecutive game defeating Northeast-10 Conference opponent Saint Michael's College 3-1 Tuesday afternoon on Duffy Field. With the win, the Ravens improve to 5-7-0 overall and 4-4-0 NE10 while the Purple Knights drop to 3-7-1, 2-5-1 NE10.

Balidemaj manufactured the first goal of his collegiate career in the 20th minute giving the Crimson and Grey the early 1-0 advantage. He corralled a pass across the width of the box from reigning NE10 Player of the Week Noam Kolakofsky (Achziv, Israel) and buried an attempt into the bottom left corner of the cage.

Saint Michael's drew the equalizer just before intermission as Daniel Pernia notched his first goal of the season. With 15 minutes to go in the showdown, Felber gave his squad the lead for good as he buried a deflected cross. He then dumped in an insurance goal in the 86th minute assisted by Balidemaj and sophomore midfielder Matteo Cavaliere (Middletown, Conn.).

Current NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week Jadel Poon-Lewis (Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago) made four saves in the win as he improved to 5-7 overall. Leland Gazo stopped seven shots in the setback. Junior defender Niklas Laudahn (Olfen, Germany) and junior midfielder Jacob Maddox (Southborough, Mass.) each chipped in assists on Felber's first tally.

FPU will put their four-game win streak on the line this Friday when they host NE10 opponent and no. 7 nationally-ranked Southern New Hampshire University at 7:00 p.m.
