ALBANY, N.Y. (September 19, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University men's soccer team suffered their third straight shutout defeat this time at the hands of Northeast-10 Conference opponent the College of Saint Rose Wednesday Evening at Sullivan Field. With the victory, the Golden Knights remain unblemished at 6-0, 3-0 NE10 while the Ravens dropped to 0-3 in league play.

Franklin Pierce recorded only two shots in the first half compared to seven for Saint Rose. The hosts took a 1-0 lead in the 43rd minute when Paulo Sdoia headed home an attempt near the goal line via a chip pass off the foot of Aaron Mula for the only score of the game.

The Ravens generated more chances in the second stanza with five shot attempts, but they finished the match with seven total and only three shots on goal. Sophomores Yannik Felber (Vallendar, Germany) and Kidino Jones (Randolph, Mass.) tallied two of the Ravens best chances. Felber attempted to tie the game with a header in the 56th minute and Jones roped another potential game-tying shot three minutes later, but both FPU players were stifled by Golden Knights netminder Gianni Carillo.

Carillo made three saves in the victory as he improved to 6-0 while Jadel Poon-Lewis (Diego Martin, Trinidad & Tobago) made four saves in the setback.

The Ravens return home on Saturday to face Southern Connecticut State at 6:00 p.m.
