RINDGE, N.H. (January 31, 2014) – Six Franklin Pierce University student-athletes have been named to the fall 2013 Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference Team in their respective sports, as announced Friday by the Conference office. Volleyball led the way for the Ravens with three selections: senior outside hitter Natasha Ray (Colorado Springs, Colo.), senior libero Lauren Miller (Alexandria, Ind.) and junior outside hitter Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.). Joining the trio was a pair of women’s soccer players in senior back Gabriela Vieira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and junior midfielder Caroline Savasta (Salem, Mass.), as well as men’s soccer graduate student midfielder Terence Ciavarra (Sutton, Mass.). The selected Ravens were among 91 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the Northeast-10.

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (November 8, 2013) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team gave a valiant effort in a 0-0 tie with Merrimack on Friday in the Northeast-10 Championship Semifinals. However, the Ravens could not complete what would have been a wild win, as the Warriors won in a penalty kick shootout (4-2 count) to advance to the league’s championship on Sunday against Southern New Hampshire. Franklin Pierce moved to 8-8-2 with the tie, while the Warriors moved to 13-3-2.

(October 19, 2013) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team kept knocking on the door all afternoon, but could never find a goal on Saturday, as Adelphi escaped with a 1-0 win in Northeast-10 Conference play at Sodexo Field. Junior midfielder Diego Zuniga scored the game’s lone goal in the 33rd minute. Franklin Pierce piled up 25 shot attempts against Adelphi’s eight on the afternoon.
