Chapdelaine, Delea Honored by NEILA

RINDGE, N.H. (May 30, 2018) – Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse outgoing seniors Brad Chapdelaine (Goffstown, N.H.) and Sean Delea (Hampstead, N.H.) have been honored by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) with selections to the 2018 NEILA Division II All-Academic Teams. On top of the academic honors, Chapdelaine was chosen to the NEILA Division II All-New England Second Team while Delea captured a bid to the NEILA East vs. West All-Star game.

Chapdelaine, a short stick defender, was picked for the second consecutive year to the NEILA Division II Second Team. As a sophomore in 2016, he was a first team choice. The recent FPU graduate appeared in 13 games for the Ravens this year including one start. He amassed one assist, 21 groundballs and was tied for third on the squad with five caused turnovers. Chapdelaine completed his collegiate career with a total of three goals, four assists, seven points, 93 groundballs, 31 caused turnovers and one face-off win.

Delea will appear on the West Team coached by Ben Lanman of Southern New Hampshire University, Matt Dalton of Springfield College and Andrew Deane of Western New England University. He appeared in 13 games for the Crimson and Grey including 11 starts. He ranked second on the team in goals (22) and assists (11) while leading the team in total points (33). Earlier this year at Roberts Wesleyan, Delea became the fifth player in program history to notch 100 career points. He wrapped up his Raven career ranking second in program history in goals (88), second in games played (55), third in total points (123) and third in assists (35).
