(3/28/23) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team completed the Golden Knights-Orlando Invitational as the second place squad in the overall team standings, shooting a team card of 592 (+16) through the two-day event hosted by College of Saint Rose at the 5,801-yard, par-73 Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.

(October 11, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team tied for the low round of the day on Tuesday, with a third-round 294 (+10), to move up four spots and finish in sixth place at the Eagles Invitational, hosted by Post. Senior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) was the low Raven, as he finished tied-10th, while he was joined inside the top 20 of the 79-golfer field by freshman Seth Saffell (Castro Valley, Calif.), who was tied-17th. The two-day event was held at the par-71, 6603-yard Watertown Golf Club.

WATERTOWN, Conn. (October 10, 2022) -- With the entire field separated by just 85 shots, the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team is 10th following play on Monday at the Eagles Invitational, but will have the opportunity to make up ground in Tuesday’s final round. The Ravens turned in a 36-hole score of 299-305--604 (+36), but are just 11 shots behind the top five in a crowded, 14-team field. In fact, Franklin Pierce is just 29 shots off the lead of Post, which is hosting the two-day event at the par-71, 6603-yard Watertown Golf Club.

ENDICOTT, N.Y. (October 3, 2022) -- Freshman Seth Saffell (Castro Valley, Calif.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team made it three straight rounds of even-par with yet another 72 on Monday, to finish solo-second at 216 (E), just two shots behind the medalist at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. Saffell’s impressive debut at the championship level led the Ravens to a fourth-place finish, after a Monday 297 (+9) and a three-round total of 900 (+36). The tournament was hosted by Le Moyne at the par-72, 6600-yard En-Joie Golf Club.

ENDICOTT, N.Y. (October 2, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team did not have the finest final tune-up a week ago, leading into this week’s Northeast-10 Conference Championship. It did not slow the team up much on Sunday though, during the first two rounds of the three-round competition, which is being hosted by Le Moyne at the par-72, 6600-yard En-Joie Golf Club. The Ravens turned in a first-round 310 (+12), then were 17 shots better with an afternoon 293 (+5), and are tied-fourth in an 11-team field, at 603 (+27), with one round to play.

CONCORD, N.H. (September 27, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team had left itself work to do in the second round of the Penmen Invitational, but struggled to get much of anything going on Tuesday at the par-72, 6500-yard Beaver Meadow Golf Course. A second-round 316 (+28) saw the Ravens cede two positions and finish 11th, in a 15-team field. Senior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) rebounded from a rough Monday with a Tuesday 73 (+1), to jump 22 spots up the leaderboard and finish in a four-way tie for 30th as the team’s low golfer for the tournament.

CONCORD, N.H. (September 26, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team left itself with some work to do on Tuesday, following a round of 308 (+20) on Monday, at the first day of the Penmen Invitational, hosted by Southern New Hampshire. The Ravens sit ninth out of 15 teams at the midpoint, in the midst of a crowded midfield, which sees them only eight shots out of the top five, but also only 12 shots clear of a bottom-three finish. Junior Thomas Hickey (Moultonborough, N.H.) was Franklin Pierce’s leader on Monday, with an opening-round 73 (+1), and is tied-13th in an 84-golfer field which saw 12 scores of par or better on the day, at the par-72, 6500-yard Beaver Meadow Golf Course.
