HANOVER, N.H. (September 18, 2018) Franklin Pierce University junior men's golfer Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.) shot an even second round (70) to lead the men's golf program to a second place finish at the 2018 Penmen Fall Invitational Tuesday at the Hanover Country Club.

Assistant coach Taylor Schmidt, a former FPU women's golf athlete, stood in for head coach Tyler Bishop as acting head coach for the tournament. "We have an awesome group of guys on our men's squad this year and I'm so proud to be a part of their success through the season," said Schmidt. "The Penmen Invitational was my first tournament as the team's only coach and they certainly made it an exciting experience for me. I'm looking forward to the many more opportunities this year."

Foster climbed two spots in the individual rankings into a tie for fourth place with a 141 (+1) scorecard. He was the only Raven golfer to place within the top-10. As a team, the Ravens improved drastically on Tuesday dropping 11 strokes from their day one showing to conclude the two rounds at 579 (+19). Laval University, a school from Quebec City, Canada finished first at 561 (+1). Host Southern New Hampshire University fell two spots in the team leaderboard to fourth place as Dominican (N.Y.) College leapfrogged the Penmen into third place 581 (+21).

Plis climbed 21 spots on the individual leaderboard by contributing a 68 (-2) Tuesday in the wet and rainy conditions. Myers putted home a consistent 72 (+2) each round to complete the invitational at 144 (+4).
