GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (October 5, 2018) -- The Franklin Pierce University men's golf program took part in the first round of the Saint Rose Fall Shootout on Friday at Pinehaven Country Club.

The Ravens stand in first place at 298 (+14) after the first day of the two-day competition at the 6506-yard, par-71 course. They sit six strokes ahead of second-place Roberts Wesleyan College (304, +20).

Junior Nathan Patterson (Conway, Mass.) led all Raven golfers with a 72 (+1), which is good enough to put him in a three-way tie for first. Sophomore Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) followed close behind with a 73 (+2) and is tied for fourth.

Juniors Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.), Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.), and Liam Donahue (Vernon, Conn.) rounded out the Ravens traveling five with scores of 76 (+5), 77 (+6), and 82 (+11), respectively.

The Ravens will compete in round two on Saturday, when they will look to stay atop the leaderboard.
