CICERO, N.Y. (October 14, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University men's golf team tied for ninth place at the Le Moyne Fall Invitational this weekend hosted by Northeast-10 Conference school Le Moyne College at the Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club.

The Ravens golfed a 307 (+19) through the first 18 holes on Friday and a 304 (+16) Saturday on the par 72, 6,506 yard course. Franklin Pierce fell one spot in the team leaderboards into a tie for ninth with West Chester University. Laval University who ranked second yesterday, was 12 under today as they jumped to the top spot by turning in a team total of 570 (-6). Rollins College dropped to second while the host Dolphins improved to third place at 587 (+11) after knocking off seven strokes.

Sophomore Liam Donohue (Vernon, Conn.) was the Ravens best golfer across the weekend as he shot a 152 (+8) and led all Pierce players with a 74 (+2) on Friday. Teammate Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.) joined Donohue as the only golfer to finish within the individual top-50 as he shot a consistent 77 (+5) both days to finish at 154 (+10).

Reigning NE10 Rookie of the Week Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) improved his showing by three strokes on Saturday as he completed two rounds at 155 (+11). Fellow NE10 weekly award winner Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) was one stroke behind Plis at 156 (+12). Team captain Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.) was the Ravens most improved golfer as he dropped 16 strokes off his first day total as he concluded 36 holes at 162 (+18).

The Crimson and Grey wrap up their fall schedule next Sunday and Monday, October 22-23 with the NEIGA Championship at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass.
